Sensual, sultry, and captivating are words that have all been used to describe the sweet voice of the chart- topping songstress Dragonfly. This Filipino/Italian/American started her vocal career with a vocal audition for the High School Of Performing Arts, Fiorello H. LaGuardia in New York City. Her fellow alumni included actors Omar Epps, Marlon Wayans, and Malcolm Jamal Warner among other successful contributors to American pop culture. She went on to sign a modeling contract and after several modeling projects, she made a decision to follow her love of music more extensively.
Dragonfly started promoting big parties and events making a splash on New York's club scene. The Grand, Tunnel, Nells, Arena, and Studio 54 were just some of the high profile venues where Dragonfly promoted her parties and this phase in her career would become instrumental in building personal relationships with some of the top producers and DJs in the world.

Dragonfly's first recorded vocal performance came out of collaboration with producer John Kano on a track called "Sensual" on AV8 Records. The record became a club hit and was licensed several times over to record labels worldwide. Dragonfly decided to take a unique and previously untried route with her next release "Mahal Kita (I Love You)", a soulful track recorded in her native Filipino language Tagalog, a first for a New York vocalist. Dragonfly was confident that the release while being different would appeal to a global audience so she invested her own money into pressing about a thousand vinyl copies on her own label and went to work. She set up her own distribution network hitting key record shops, vinyl distributors, and influential DJs. Her hard work paid off eventually getting the track signed to Neat Music in the U.K. "Mahal Kita" later became licensed to the famed Cafe Del Mar Compilation series, and later appeared on two compilations on the world re-known Hed Kandi imprint in the U.K. Dragonfly's next two collaborations came via Estonian producers Vibe Residents. After flying to this small former republic of the Soviet Union to record "Temptation" and "DJs Calling" she was able to catch the ear of superstar DJ/producer Roger Sanchez, who picked up both releases for Stealth Records, Roger's own Amsterdam based label imprint. "Temptation" would later be re-released on a "Dirty Vegas" Compilation for New York Based Ultra Records and later appears on the Roger Sanchez "Release Yourself" Compilation series. "DJs Calling" further expanded Dragonfly's global reach becoming a favorite among top DJs from the U.S. all the way to Australia. "DJs Calling" as has been the trend with all her earlier releases was licensed quite extensively, with the very well known "Soulfuric In The House" compilation series on U.K. based Defected records being included among them.

Dragonfly has performed at prestigious venues and festivals worldwide including opening up for Roger Sanchez at Estonia's massive Sun Dance Festival in July of 2001, and was invited back before crowds estimated at about 30,000 to open up for dance music superstar Crystal Waters at the same festival in July 2002.

Dragonfly's latest release "Blue Skies" teams her with another Estonian based band Holmes, recorded for Swedish label Deeplay. A very deep and sensual track that has already been creating quite a buzz on advanced promo release, with DJs like StoneBridge, Brian Tappert, Mr V, and Roger Sanchez, all giving it spins. The original vocal version appears along with re-mixes that range from Afro to Tech House, with U.K. Production Duo Sueno Soul included among the collaborators. Dragonfly is currently keeping a busy recording schedule with proposed collaborations with noted international producers Mr. V, Physics, Sueno Soul, Dalminjo, Da Funk, and Klement Bonelli all slated for 2005.

With the help of her long time friend and exclusive manager Marcel Schooler of Khaimar management, Dragonfly will continue to have her distinct voice heard and felt by appreciative audiences worldwide.
